One of my favorite things about the holidays is decorating our house, and that begins with our Halloween decor. In case you’re looking for ideas and inspiration to decorate your home for fall, I’m sharing our Halloween outdoor decor and porch.
Ideas For Your Halloween Outdoor Decor & Porch
Welcome foolish mortals...to our Halloween haven – AKA our Halloween outdoor decor!! To celebrate all things spooky, I’m sharing our Halloween outdoor makeover. Thanks of my FAVE place to shop for home decor and furniture, Grandin Road. I actually don’t think I’ve ever shared photos of the outside of our home before, so this is a first! Much like the rest of our home, we completely renovated it, with a new door, new shutters, a new fence, new grass and shrubs, and a fresh paint job, courtesy of Romabio Paint (scroll to the bottom of this post for a before photo).

With our Halloween outdoor decorations, the outside of our home has never looked better. From now on, I’m fully committed to decorating for Halloween and fall every September from this year on (especially now that Everly is older…she LOVES it!!)
Sure it’s still 100 degrees outside, but having Halloween decorations up just makes it feel so fun, festive and like fall is actually here!!
Since I REALLY went for it with the Halloween decor this year, I decided to break it down into two blog posts. This first one featuring our outdoor Halloween decor and another one featuring the spootakcular transformation INSIDE our home.
Click through to get all the boo-tiful details on our Halloween outdoor makeover, plus get the scoop on me and Everly’s outfit and see what our home looked like BEFORE we moved in (it’s quite terrifying, y’all).
Our Halloween Outdoor Decor
Like I said, this year is the first time we’ve ever fully decorate dour home for Halloween/Fall, both outside and inside in SEPTEMBER and I’m HERE FOR IT Y’ALL!! If you don’t already, I wanna encourage you to DECORATE IN SEPTEMBER!! Why should Halloween only get one month of celebration??
September can sometimes feel dreadful to kids especially. It means the official end of summer and the start of the school year. Having some fun fall and Halloween decorations helps kids get more excited for the new season!
When I was selecting items to decorate our porch and the front of our home with, I wanted to do some Halloween pieces in classic orange and black like the fun painted pumpkin topiary and the BOO doormat from Grandin Road, especially because the colors mix in so well with traditional fall decor like the pumpkin fall wreath on our front door, also from Grandin Road. I also wanted to make sure I didn’t choose anything too scary since Everly is so little (and also because I don’t love scary things myself), so I picked out things that nod to classic Halloween characters like these pre-lit broomsticks and our not-so-scary Jackolanterns.
Our Halloween Outfits
I absolutely LOVE that being campy and themey is totally in right now and if you’re looking for Halloween-inspired attire, Unique Vintage is your GO-TO!! I was overwhelmed at the amount of darling Halloween dresses and skirts they had like the orange one I picked out featuring all the classic Halloween characters and symbols and the fun sweaters and tops they have like this short sleeve bat sweater. Unique Vintage has HUNDREDS of dresses, skirts and tops, both in regular and plus sizes, for you to choose from, along with accessories too. Click here to see and shop ALL of their fun Halloween clothing and accessories.
I found my bat headband as a last minute Amazon purchase (just $12!), and since Unique Vintage doesn’t carry children’s sizes (SO wish they did!), I pulled out this black tutu by I Love Plum and it was PERFECT for my little pumpkin.
Keep scrolling for more photos of our Halloween outdoor transformation and see the before photos of our home before we renovated, too.
Overall, I love how our outdoor Halloween decor turned out. It was a little bit fall, a little bit Halloween. That way I can keep the fall items like the wreath and garland up through mid-November when we put our Christmas decor up!
BEFORE AFTER OUTDOOR HOUSE TRANSFORMATION
See? Told ya the before photo of the outside of our home was terrifying! It’s incredible what white paint can do to a brick house!! The paint we used is by Romabio and I absolutely LOVED the way it turned out! Stay tuned next week to see our indoor Halloween decor transformation!! Click here to see all of our home posts.
