As you know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and in the spirit of celebrating women and overcoming challenges, I’ve partnered up with Stage Stores to share my own personal journey from self-doubt to self-made in their #ipinkican campaign. This month, join me and Stage in sharing your own #ipinkican moments of strength, motivation or inspiration. For every hashtagged moment, Stage will donate $1 to help support the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

Click through to learn about how I finally let go of my fears of failure and self-doubt to follow my dream of starting a blog and becoming a self-made woman for the fulfillment of my ultimate goal – to have a career doing what I loved while also pursuing my greatest passion…being a mama and raising my babies!

PS – I’m also sporting a little pink a la this outfit (which happens to be on mega-sale!) I found from Stage Stores in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month!

If there’s anything that the last few years have taught us, it’s that women are strong, resilient and can do anything they set their minds to! After having Everly and being able to pursue my dream job while staying home to raise her, I feel more empowered than ever, but I haven’t always felt that way. When I first found out about blogging as an intern in college, I remember thinking how amazing it was that this career path combined all of the things I wanted most for my adult life:  writing, fashion and having the flexibility to work from home so I could devote as much time as my own mother had to being a mama and wife. It was an absolute DREAM job. But, I remember thinking, it was simply too good to be true. A year later, in 2013, a little voice in my head began to stir…”you can do this!” but the voice would quickly be silenced by another…”who would want to follow you?” It was an ongoing battle and the voice of self-doubt always seemed to win. In 2014, after working in the corporate world for two years and seeing how, at just 22-years-old, my opinions and ideas could make such a difference in an up-and-coming fashion brand, I finally silenced that voice of self-doubt and went for it! And boy am I glad I did!

Pursuing my dream of becoming a blogger and business owner has given me more independence, freedom and confidence than I’ve ever had before. Not only has it allowed me to be able to work and stay at home with Everly, but it’s made me a stronger, more self-confident woman, and therefore, better equipped to instill that in raising my own daughter and future children.

Share your own moments of strength, motivation and inspiration via social media using the hashtag #ipinkican to help raise money and awareness for breast cancer with Stage!
