Happy Tuesday friends! If you follow me on instagram, you might have noticed that I took a bit of a hiatus from the blog for an Alaskan Adventure with Princess Cruises last week (a whole lotta blog posts to come with the details on that amazing experience). As a side note, I 100% had a blog post planned for each week day I was gone, but due to the limited amount of wifi megabytes we were alotted (and the fact that I was completely entranced by the beauty of it all), all of my little bloggy blog posts stayed in draft mode. But lucky for you, that means items like this amazing off the shoulder ruffle dress in gorgeous orangy-coral  had time to be restocked (it sold out so fast after I bought it!!)

I’ll be the first to admit that I’ve got a serious case of the post-vacation blues (as you might could tell from the title of this post). Why is it that amazing trips just make you want to travel more?! Ahh – but I digress. Back to this look. Clearly I’m still in summer mode over here on the blog because let’s be real, fall doesn’t arrive in Texas for at least another month. And besides, this dress can easily be worn all the way through fall with its quarter-length bell sleeves.

I’ve long been a fan of the off shoulder trend (evidence here from a 2016 post and here from a recent post), but what drew me in about this dress was the electric orange color. I’m so happy to report that color is totally sticking around for fall/winter (all my fellow color lovers rejoice!!) PANTONE’s Fall 2017 Fashion Color Palette includes bright hues like grenadine (which is a slightly reddish version of the coral I’m wearing today), golden lime (a darker version of lime green) and marina (which looks a lot like corn flower blue). For a season that historically tends to shift to much darker neutrals, I’m so excited about this fresh change and will be fully embracing it throughout the fall/winter season.

Since this look was shot in August, I did style it with a little bit of summer vibes, starting with these amazing palm print wedges. While these wedges aren’t necessarily fall/winter appropriate. I can assure you that palm print is here to stay for next fall/winter and they just so happen to be on major sale right now, so go ahead and scoop them up now (your future self will thank you!) Palm print is practically a seasonal neutral now, so you’ll be shocked at how much they go with in your closet! In other good news, the it bag of the summer (AKA this bamboo clutch) is finally back in stock and is also available is more fall-appropriate acrylic versions. You might be surprised to know that the clutch you probably saw 1,000’s of bloggers carrying wasn’t gifted by the brand…(don’t ask me how I found that out, haha!) It was just such a unique bag for an amazing price that everyone went out and purchased it (myself included). And now I think I’m going to need an acrylic version for fall/winter. To finish off the look, I went with yet another pop of color in these gorgeous beaded tassel earrings by Lisi Lerch.

Stay tuned for more outfit ideas as actual fall finally makes it’s way down to Texas (we’re eagerly awaiting!!)
