If you follow me on instagram, you may have seen that my sister Tiffany and I recently attending the D23 Conference in Anaheim (more to come on that later – I’ll be doing a full blog review on our experience!) followed by a couple of days at the happiest place on earth, Disneyland. It’s always magical being at the original park that started it all – the happy place that Walt opened himself in 1955. Whether you have littles or you’re going for a girl’s trip, taking photos while at a Disney park is a part of the experience. Afterall, Disneyland is the number most photographed place in America on instagram, so I thought I’d round up a few of my favorite spots for photos in Disneyland.

Happy Hump Day friends!! Summertime usually calls for travel plans, and while I love to travel, I’d be lying if I said I enjoyed packing. I always get so stressed out about what I’m going to wear because I’m never 100% certain about the weather or the things we’ll end up doing (because let’s face it, as much as we try to plan our itineraries, spontaneity is the name of the game).  Between travel for my job and the 15 weddings Cole and I have had this year (that is actually not an exaggeration), we’ve had a lot of travel stacked back-to-back lately, and I’ve quickly learned lots of travel tips (all of which you can read here!). And while I do rotate through clothes a little more often than your average girl, there are always those pieces that you wear over and over, and this little off the shoulder ruffle dress is one of them.

The One Item Every Busy Girl Needs

PLANNER: c/o Lauren James  //  Pink Gingham Halter Crop Top  //  Pink Gingham Midi Skirt  //  Pearl Drop Earrings  //  Embossed Python Leather Satchel  //  Gold Monogram Necklace  //  Light Blue Strappy Sandals  //  Beauty and the Beast Chip Mug  //  Pink Reflective Sunglasses

It’s Fri-YAY and as I look down at my mile-long to-do list, I’m reminded of why I’m SO excited to share a secret with you all. But first…I have a confession. I may be a small business owner and living the self-employed dream, but this girl is sometimes a bit…scatterbrained (okay, maybe more than just sometimes). While I’ve always had the A-type personality traits of being driven and working hard, the whole “being organized” part of the equation never quite made it into my DNA, so as hard as I try, I’ve always struggled with forgetfulness, and yes, sometimes, messiness. As a business owner who’s daily job involves dozens of never-ending tiny tasks, you can probably imagine how difficult it can be for me to make sure all of my ducks are in a row, every day. That’s why I’m SO excited to introduce you to my new BFF for both A-types, B-types, and in-betweeners like me, The Timeless Planner by Lauren James Co.

How I Became a Healthy Eater

Confession: throughout the first 17 years of my life, I was the absolute worst eater. I’m talking drive-thru cheeseburgers and fries and frozen pizzas with all of the sugary, processed packaged snacks in between, y’all. It wasn’t until my senior year of high school when I decided to try out for the pom squad at Texas (which required wearing skin-tight elastic pants and a sports bra) that I decided to change my eating habits (or really even paid attention to them!) The results were instant and obvious – my mind and body was at a happier state, and I quickly realized I didn’t have to give up the things I craved to adopt a healthy lifestyle. That’s why I’m so excited to partner up with my friends at Chobani to talk about how their new Chobani Flip flavors are helping me maintain a healthy lifestyle without giving up the crunchy, sweet, salty, creamy snacks I crave!

Happy Thursday friends!! Today happens to be my 27 birthday, and after the popularity of my 2 year blogiversary post explaining 24 things you may or may not know about me (like that my family owns a funeral home business or that I met my husband on Facebook in high school) and my 26th birthday post commemorating 25 highlights from year 25 last year, I decided to do another personal post. This time I’m celebrating 27 by rounding up 27 of my favorite things (because let’s be honest, I’m not always going to be counting when it comes to birthdays!)

With so many “favorites lists” out there (remember when that was trending on Facebook years ago?!), it was hard to choose which to include in the 27, so I tried to go for questions/favorites that we’re out of the ordinary or that I could definitely speak to. So, here it goes! Click on the read more button to read about more-than-just-a-few of my favorite things, plus – get the full scoop on this fun and flirty outfit featuring the cutest ruffle sleeve cold shoulder dress.
