1975 LBD

DRESS: Shop 1975  //  NECKLACE: Teal House Collection  //  HEELS: similar Dolce Vita  //  LIPSTICK: Maybelline “On Fire Red”  //  WATCH: Michael Kors  //  CLUTCH: similar Kate Spade  //  ZIGZAG CUFF: Rocksbox  //  STONE CUFF: Teal House Collection  //  SUNNIES: Amazon

I stand firmly behind the belief that every girl should have a little black dress, or two. With so many basic LBD’s however, I also believe in finding one that offers something a little special, like this one from Shop 1975. From the feminine lace trimming to the open, strappy back, this LBD delivers on unique style. I also love the quarter length sleeves. What’s even better? They’re currently offering 15% off sitewide online in honor of Mother’s Day, so don’t miss out!!

It doesn’t take long to figure out that I’m also a huge believer in embracing color. I couldn’t imagine wearing a little black dress without a little pop of color, even if that simply means a red lip (my latest favorite is this Maybelline “On Fire Red” I’m wearing here). Since this is more of a casual little black dress, I went for double the color – a pop of turquoise with this mega-statement necklace from Teal House Collection and Michael Kors watch, and a dash of vivid red with my lip color and my favorite clutch (which is unfortunately sold out from Lookbookstore, but you can find a similar one here). I finished it off with my new favorite Dolce Vita heels I snagged at Saks Off Fifth.

Oh, and my handy photographer-fiancé caught me in the act of taking my instagram selfie, so I added a little behind the scenes photo in the mix.

Wishing you a wonderful weekend!

Fair-well xx,
