With New York Fashion week in full swing, we’re officially in the transitional summer-to-fall fashion season here in Texas. While we won’t be breaking out our jackets and scarves for a couple of months, it’s fun to start swapping our shorts and skirts for jeans and slowly integrate fall trends into our looks.
On the opposite spectrum of the thigh-hugging skinny jeans comes a relief with boyfriend jeans. While I was skeptical that these would look unflattering, I found this pair and absolutely love the way they loosely fit, providing breathing room for the still-hot days of September. Plaid is rad again for fall and I absolutely love this black and white plaid top by Dallas designer Finley (similar). As always I added a little color this my neutral outfit with accessories like this neon headband (similar), turquoise embroidered clutch (similar) and vivid pink lipstick. Since the jeans are a bit on the boy-ish side, I paired them with feminine, strappy heels.
This look is perfect for a casual office environment or a date night.
