Color, candy and art lovers rejoice! The Sweet Tooth Hotel is open this summer in Dallas and it’s everything you ever dreamed of and more. You may have seen photos or heard about the Sweet Tooth Hotel via social media, and wondered, “what is it, exactly?” (at least that’s what I thought when I first heard of it!) The Sweet Tooth Hotel is a pop up art installment featuring unique, one-of-a-kind art pieces by local artists that’s literal eye candy. It’s located in Victory Park in Dallas, and while you can’t actually stay at it, you can buy tickets to come visit and take alllll the photos and videos you can squeeze in during your one-hour time slot. Thanks to my friends at Buick, Angie (my amazing photographer!) and I recently got a time slot at this popular pop up to take some photos (okay, a looot of photos) and give you the full scoop on the pop up.
Side note – Sweet Tooth has been sooo popular that it’s now sold out through July 30th, but lucky for you, they just extended their opening through August 31st, so you can still go check it out! Get your tickets here!!
During the first 10-15 minutes of your one hour time frame, a tour guide will lead you through each of the rooms, explaining the artistry and some of the really cool technology and effects in each installment. Then, you’ll be turned loose for the remaining 45 minutes to explore and take all the photos your little heart desires.
Another quick tip: there’s not a bathroom inside the Sweet Tooth Hotel, so be sure you go before and if you want to do any outfit changes, bring a small pop up changer or dress in layers like I did, to get the different outfit shots.
Take time to notice all of the amazing little details in every room. Bonus!! If you register for the Keyholder Admission, you’ll get a key which unlocks special experiences throughout, photo props hidden in two rooms and a limited edition hand debossed Leatherology keychain.
Whether you’re traveling to Dallas this summer or you’re a local, don’t miss this one-of-a-kind experience to see some of the brightest, sweetest and happiest art installments EVER!
